The LET Scholarship Fund was established to honor the legacy of Mrs. Luvenia Elizabeth Berry Tubman and to continue her legacy of love, care, hard work and grit in the community. The LET Scholarship Fund helps support students from Greater Minnesota with diverse backgrounds and characteristics who show a passion for achieving academic excellence in healthcare careers and community involvement. LET Scholars are diligent and have a desire to make an impact on providing excellence in care for others and have a interest to continue their education in healthcare.
Eligibility: US Citizen at least 18 years old or older. Have a strong desire to serve others and vow to deliver excellence in the healthcare field.
The evaluation process of scholarship applications involves evaluating personal essay based on the following application criteria provided.
Luvenia Tubman was the epitome of the definition of woman. Known for her tasty meals and extraordinary seamstress talents, her last days were blessed by the hands of great caregivers; it is for this reason that the LET (her initials) scholarship fund was created. Her legacy lives on through this scholarship and through her family and friends who loved her dearly.
